A vibrant and refreshing cocktail, the Vodka Sunset is a simple and visually appealing drink perfect for evenings or when you want to impress your guests with a colorful beverage. It combines the sharpness of vodka with the sweetness of orange juice and grenadine, resulting in a layered sunset effect in your glass.

The Vodka Sunset is not only known for its aesthetic appeal but also for its versatility. It can easily be transformed into a non-alcoholic delight, making it inclusive for all your guests. The cocktail’s gradient effect is not just for show; it also allows drinkers to experience the evolution of flavors as they sip.

Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Vodka
  • 3 oz Orange Juice
  • 1/2 oz Grenadine
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions

  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the vodka over the ice.
  • Add the orange juice to the glass, filling nearly to the top.
  • Slowly pour the grenadine into the glass over the back of a spoon or by drizzling it down the side of the glass, allowing it to settle at the bottom, creating a gradient effect.
  • Serve the drink unstirred to maintain the layered sunset look.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute vodka with sparkling water or club soda. The drink is best enjoyed fresh, so prepare it just before serving to maintain its visual appeal and effervescence.
